Meet the E-Board
Every year, we elect new leaders to take on the challenges of running the student chapter. Here are the people in charge now!
Chapter President: Niko AMbrose
As President of the ODU ASCE Student Chapter it is Niko's responsibility to supervise the general affairs of the Chapter, and preside over the weekly Chapter meetings. He is also expected to represent the Chapter at meetings at the Chapter, Section, Regional and Society level and be available to officers and other Chapter members.
I am studying Civil Engineering in my Senior year at Old Dominion University, and will be graduating December 2019. I currently work at the Virginia Department of Transportation as an intern and transportation engineering technician.
Vice president: Sarah bohn
As Vice President of the ODU ASCE Student Chapter it is Sarah's responsibility to preform the duties of the President or Treasurer in their absence. Sarah also assists Niko with monitoring Chapter activities and in decision making.
My expected graduation, from Civil Engineering Technology, is May 2022, and I am also the co-captain for ODU’s Concrete Canoe Team.
Treasurer: jack kidd
As Treasurer of the ODU ASCE Student Chapter it is Jack's responsibility to prepare the operating budget of the chapter. He is also in charge of procuring, scheduling, preparing and purchasing of supplies needed for the General Body Meetings.
I plan to graduate in the fall of 2021 with a B.S. of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and I hope to bolster my education through real world job training and the experience I have gained through ASCE.
Secretary: macayla gillis
As Secretary of the ODU ASCE Student Chapter it is Macayla's responsibility to record the proceedings of General Body Meetings. She is in charge of keeping a roster of all the members and meeting attendance, as well as, keeping an annual census of all members.
Majoring in Civil Engineering Technology and minoring in English. Expected graduation Fall 2020.
Communications: william “BILLY” CARRANZA
As the Communications Chair of the ODU ASCE Student Chapter it is my responsibility to maintain Monarch Link, Chapter Website, work with the Secretary and Treasurer to update all electronic documents storage and rosters, and lastly, procuring and organizing guest speakers for General Body Meetings.
I am a super senior studying Civil Engineering. I enjoy good wine, good food, and good conversation. I will be graduating Fall of 2020.
Publicity: DANIEL PENALOZA-BUENO
As Publicity Chair of the ODU ASCE Student Chapter, it is Daniel's responsibility to create advertisements and recruitment materials to increase General Body Meeting attendance as well as chapter recognition. He is also in charge of all of the Chapter's Social Media accounts.
I am a freshman studying Mechanical Engineering Technology at Old Dominion University, and will be graduating May 2022.
