Meet the E-Board
Every year, we elect new leaders to take on the challenges of running the student chapter. Here are the people in charge now!
Chapter President: Jimmy slocum Jr.
As President of the ODU ASCE Student Chapter it is Jimmy's responsibility to supervise the general affairs of the Chapter, and preside over the weekly Chapter meetings. He is also expected to represent the Chapter at meetings at the Chapter, Section, Regional and Society level and be available to officers and other Chapter members.
I am studying Civil Engineering in my junior year at Old Dominion University, and will be graduating May 2019. I currently work at Speight, Marshall and Francis as an intern and structural engineering technician.

Vice president: Kent andrews
As Vice President of the ODU ASCE Student Chapter it is Kent's responsibility to preform the duties of the President or Treasurer in their absence. Kent also assists Jimmy with monitoring Chapter activities and in decision making.
I will be graduating in December of 2018. I currently work for the Chesapeake Tunnel Joint Venture on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge & Tunnel Expansion Project. I am also part of the Steel Bridge team. For more info, click here.
Treasurer: Andrew Bunn
As Treasurer of the ODU ASCE Student Chapter it is Andrew's responsibility to prepare the operating budget of the chapter. He is also in charge of procuring, scheduling, preparing and purchasing of supplies needed for the General Body Meetings.
I will be graduating in May 2019, and currently work for the Virginia Department of Transportation. I hope to move into the field of Transportation Sustainability engineering, possibly in Europe, after graduation. You can find out more about me here.
Secretary: Sarah bohn
As Secretary of the ODU ASCE Student Chapter it is Sarah's responsibility to record the proceedings of General Body Meetings. She is in charge of keeping a roster of all the members and meeting attendance, as well as, keeping an annual census of all members.
Communications: VANESSA CLEMENT
As the Communications Chair of the ODU ASCE Student Chapter it is my responsibility to maintain Monarch Link, Chapter Website, work with the Secretary and Treasurer to update all electronic documents storage and rosters, and lastly, procuring and organizing guest speakers for General Body Meetings.
Publicity: Niko Ambrose
As Publicity Chair of the ODU ASCE Student Chapter it is Courtney's responsibility to create advertisements and recruitment materials to increase General Body Meeting attendance as well as chapter recognition. He is also in charge of all of the Chapter's Social Media accounts.
I am a junior studying Civil Engineering at Old Dominion University, and will be graduating May 2019. I currently work with the Virginia Department of Transportation through the Scholar Program.
